Terms of Use

Tremor – Earthquake Alerts · Last updated: August 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Tremor mobile application ("the App"), developed by Alihan Aktay. By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. What Tremor Is — and What It Is Not

Tremor delivers informational notifications about earthquakes that have already been detected and published by public scientific networks (USGS, EMSC) and tsunami messages published by NOAA.

Tremor is NOT an earthquake early-warning system. It does not predict earthquakes, and it cannot warn you before shaking begins. Notifications describe events that have already occurred. Never rely on Tremor for life-safety decisions. In an emergency, always follow the guidance of your local civil protection authorities.

2. No Guarantee of Delivery or Accuracy

Notification delivery depends on Apple's push infrastructure, your network conditions, and your device settings (e.g. Focus modes, notification permissions). Delivery can be delayed or fail entirely.
Earthquake data comes from third-party scientific feeds we do not control. Magnitudes, locations and depths are frequently revised by the source agencies after initial publication.
The App and its data are provided for general informational purposes only.

3. Tremor Pro Subscriptions

Tremor Pro is available as an auto-renewing subscription (e.g. monthly or annual) or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Current prices are always shown in the App before you buy and may vary by region.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase, and is handled entirely by Apple.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your App Store account settings.
If a free trial is offered, unused trial time is forfeited when you purchase, and the subscription begins charging when the trial ends unless canceled before then.
Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's refund policies.

4. Acceptable Use

Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the App or its backend services.
Do not use the App in any way that violates applicable law.

5. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, and branding, is the property of Alihan Aktay. Earthquake and tsunami data originate from USGS, EMSC and NOAA public feeds and remain subject to those agencies' terms.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR UNINTERRUPTED AVAILABILITY.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALIHAN AKTAY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR SPECIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE APP — INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY DAMAGES ARISING FROM MISSED, DELAYED, OR INACCURATE NOTIFICATIONS, OR FROM ANY EARTHQUAKE, TSUNAMI, OR OTHER NATURAL EVENT.

8. Termination

We may suspend or discontinue the App or any part of it at any time. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Istanbul, Turkey.
